The clinic is designed in the "basement" of an existing building in Dbaye.
The introduced function induced some changes in the elevation to accommodate the windows for sunlight and ventilation. The window frames were executed in fair faced concrete to contrast with the external walls in stone.
The architectural concept of the project relies on the use of 45 degrees inclined walls to improve the quality of the internal spaces, while providing them with enough privacy; as such:
- The entrance porch is marked in a very subtle way.
- The subdivision of the spaces give a small entrance vestibule that separates the waiting area from the doctor's cabinet and operating room.
- The toilet's access door is recessed in the vestibule, and is kept very discrete from both, the waiting area and the clinic proper.
The architectural intervention was restricted to the basement exclusively.
